The Friends of the Burke Centre Library huge "Blizzard of Books" Sale takes place February 24th through 26th, and we need volunteers to help us staff the sale all three days. Duties can include straightening book displays, helping patrons find categories, and cashiering. Individuals aren't expected to stay all day--we'd appreciate any number of hours you can offer. Thanks to everyone who shopped at our sale this past weekend. We raised nearly $7,000 to help support Burke Centre Library programs!! And special thanks to those very important volunteers who helped in so many ways throughout the sale and without whom the Friends of the Burke Centre Library couldn't accomplish what we do for our local library. We hope to see all of you again at our next sale, May 26th through 28th.
