The Patents and Trademarks of Steve Jobs – Art and Technology that Changed the World

Advent Calendar Closing Celebration and Silent Auction
- Where: Christmas Attic, Alexandria
- When: Saturday, Jan. 7 from 12 – 2 p.m.
- Why Go: Twenty-four works of art produced by area schools, churches, and community organizations were revealed each day of the Advent calendar, and now these works of art are available for purchase through silent auction. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic. Refreshments and family friendly activities will be available.

Winter Ranger Hike
- Where: Mason Neck State Park, Lorton
- When: Sunday, Jan. 8 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
- Why Go: Meet at the Bayview Trail Head for a guided tour where you’ll learn about park wildlife and ways to preserve nature. Please wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. You’ll also need a bottle of water and, of course, your camera.

United States Marine Band Concert
- Where: George Mason University Center for the Arts, Fairfax
