Burke Dance Company Honored

Buffa's Dance Company received a commendation from the Board of Supervisors.

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors recognized the Senior Dance Company from in Burke on June 19.

The company participated in the Contest of Champions held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla., last February, . 

Chairman Sharon Bulova, Braddock District Supervisor John Cook, and Mason District Supervisor Penelope Gross acknowledged the artistry and athleticism of the talented dancers.

Buffa Hargett was recognized for her service to the Burke community, and for providing outstanding dance education to the children of Fairfax County for the past 32 years. 

Springfield District Supervisor Pat Herrity congratulated junior Emma Bradley for winning first place in the senior solo category.

Buffa’s Senior Dance Company will be competing at The Dance Awards July 3 - 12 in New York City.  

Emma Bradley has been invited to perform at The Dizzy Feet Foundation’s second annual Celebration of Dance gala in Los Angeles, Calif., on July 28.
