Burke residents headed to the polls Tuesday to choose a president, senator and U.S. House representative, and to vote on several county-wide ballot initiatives.
President Barack Obama won reelection. Former Gov. Tim Kaine won the Senate seat, defeating former Gov. George Allen. Rep. Gerry Connolly (D) defended his seat against Republican Chris Perkins and several independent candidates for the 11th congressional District.
In 2008, Fairfax County gave then-candidate Sen. Barack Obama 60.11 percent of the votes, to Sen. John McCain's 38.93 percent. Fewer than one percent of votes went to third-party candidates.

I don't see my precinct listed here. I live in Burke Centre, but my polling place is Fairview Elementary School.

Hi Kim,
Even though you live in Burke, your precinct (105 Fairview) technically has a Fairfax Station address, so your precinct results will be over here on Fairfax Station Patch: http://fairfaxstation.patch.com/articles/local-results-how-fairfax-station-voted.
