Connecting with Communities: Town Hall Meeting June 1

Supervisor Cook plans Saturday meeting to help people connect with their local government and community.

Communities now have many different ways of connecting using social media, websites and more.

With this in mind, Braddock District Supervisor John Cook (R) has organized a town hall meeting June 1 to discuss how people connect with their communities and government.

The town hall will start at 8:30 a.m. and will be held at Finance Park at Frost Middle School, 4101 Pickett Road, Fairfax.

Presenters will include local leaders, Fairfax County officials and futurist Rick Smyre.

"This town hall will help grow the already strong communities we have here in Braddock District and Fairfax County. Social media and the Internet has revolutionized how communities interact, and I’m looking forward to listening and learning how members of our community are connecting in the Digital Age," Supervisor Cook said in a statement.
