County Seeks More Input on Transit Network Study
Fairfax County officials host one in second round of public meetings Thursday at Key Middle School.
Fairfax County Department of Transportation officials are seeking public input on the Countywide Transit Network Study.
This is the second round of public meetings. The first round was this summer. You can see the presentation and handouts from these meetings on the Countywide Transit Network Study Resources page.
After the first round of meetings, Patch reported, "At least 66 percent of people surveyed in the Fairfax County Transit Network Study believe transit infrastructure is vital for the future of the Washington, D.C. metro area’s future. But at what cost is still unclear...because the study didn't put financial parameters around the questions it asked of its hundreds of respondents."
The meeting Thursday in Springfield will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Key Middle School in the Key Center Cafeteria. The middle school is at 6402 Franconia Road in Springfield. Department of Transportation officials will be present.
