Driver Dies in Braddock Road Crash

Police said vehicle hit a tree on Braddock Road near the intersection of Burke Station Road

The 53-year-old driver of a 1996 Toyota sedan died after he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree on Braddock Road near the intersection of Burke Station Road, according to police.

officers responded to the crash on Tuesday, August 23, at about 11 p.m. The vehicle apparently struck a concrete median and a highway sign before running off the road to the right.  The Toyota then struck a tree head-on.

Tam-Anh Chu of 1065 Northfalls Court in Great Falls was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced dead a short time later. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. Speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors in this crash.
