Funeral Services have been set for Horace Christopher Pendergrass, the Fairfax Station firefighter who passed away over the weekend at the Crosspointe Fire Station.

Pendergrass, a 20 year veteran of the fire department, was found dead on Saturday morning. The cause of Pendergrass’ death is still being investigated, however, he is believed to have died of natural causes.

Funeral services with honors will be held on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. at the Greater Little Zion Baptist Church in Fairfax. Interment will follow at the Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Firefighters Fund of Fairfax County, P.O. Box 401, Fairfax, VA 22038-0401 or Prince of Peace Church, 1543 Summit Avenue, Portsmouth, VA 23704.
