Lake Braddock Secondary School's varsity wrestlers won the "Rumble in the Pit" tournament Jan. 14.

Head Coach Scott Matheny said it was the first tournament win for the team during his tenure.

The Bruins won their pool by winning dual match-ups against Loudoun Valley, Battlefield, Centreville and Woodbridge Senior. They then went on to beat Annandale High School in their home gym for a first place finish of 44 - 29.

Undefeated Bruin wrestlers in the tournament were Ryan Haskett (106 lbs.), Sean Haskett (138 lbs.), Rory Renzi (145 lbs.) and Jake Sage (152 lbs.).

The first annual "Rumble in the Pit" tournament was held in honor of Randy Scott, Annandale High School's first wrestling coach.
