Police: Assault Reported on Cove Landing Road

The following items are from recent police updates through Dec. 26 from the Franconia, West Springfield and Sully police districts of the Fairfax County Police Department.
Assault (red on map), 2:35 a.m., Dec. 23, 5900 block of Cove Landing Road, A victim reported walking to her vehicle and seeing a man attempting to enter the car. When she confronted him he hit her and pushed her. He fled when she called police. Nothing was taken. The victim received minor injuries.
In separate and unrelated incidents:
Indecent Exposure (green on map), 2:15 p.m., Dec. 21, Fairfax County Parkway/Old Keene Mill Road, Two adult women were in their car when a vehicle pulled up next to them. The driver was honking his horn to get their attention. When they turned to look they saw the man exposing himself.
Larcenies (blue on map):
- 7400 block of Nancemond Street, jewelry from residence
- 7600 block of Gralnick Place, three packages from residence
- 6100 block of Rolling Road, three credit cards from vehicle
Vehicle Thefts (purple on map):
- 5600 block of Eastbourne Drive, 2007 Mazda 5
