Second Robbery at Burke Suntrust

Police believe the same man is responsible for both robberies, committed in ten days of each other.

Fairfax County Police responded for the report of a robbery at the , on Saturday, August 27, shortly after 10 a.m.

According to police, a man entered the bank, approached a teller and demanded money. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as black, in his 30’s or 40s. He was about 5 feet 7 inches tall and between 160 and 180 pounds. He was wearing blue pants with white stripes down the sides, a blue, hooded sweatshirt, a black ball cap, dark glasses and a surgical mask.

Detectives believe this same individual is responsible for a robbery at the same Suntrust Bank on Wednesday, August 17. Detectives also believe this suspect may be responsible for two other bank robberies that occurred at the BB&T Bank, located at 6120 Arlington Boulevard, in Fals Church. The first robbery occurred on Tuesday, July 12. The second occurred on Thursday, July 28.
