Teenage Boy Struck by Car in West Springfield

The boy is in stable condition at a local area hospital.

A teenage boy was struck by a car Thursday night at the intersection of Rolling Road and Old Keene Mill Road in West Springfield, according to Fairfax County Police.

Police responded to a call at 5:04 p.m. about a pedestrian struck at the intersection. According to Eddy Azcarate, public information officer with the Fairfax County Police Department, the intersection was closed for about 90 minutes while police and Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units were on scene. Azcarate did not indicate whether slippery roads due to snow or ice was a factor in the crash.

The boy was transported to a local hospital for life-threatening injuries and is now in stable condition.
