West Springfield Lacrosse Falls in Home Opener to Chantilly

Senior Rachel Lawrie leads the Spartans with three goals.

The visiting Chantilly Chargers defeated the West Springfield Spartans 14-7 Thursday thanks to their strong lacrosse defense limiting the Spartans’ shots.

Senior and team captain, Kacey Norwood scored seven goals, helping her team to victory.

“She’s definitely our highest scorer,” said coach Tina Plaugher proudly. “She had six or seven goals last game as well.”
