The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the metropolitan Washington area, including Fairfax County, from 10 p.m. Friday until 1 p.m. Saturday.
Snow and sleet are expected by 10 p.m., followed by snow, freezing rain and sleet. A low of about 28 is predicted. Snow and sleet may accumulate up to one inch.
Saturday will see rain or freeing rain before 1 p.m., followed by rain through the afternoon. A high near 37 is predicted.
