Here is an interesting idea for your bathroom remodel: incorporate furniture-style cabinets in your vanity area.
Picture a white vessel sink and an attractive faucet sitting atop a vanity flanked by tall, quartersawn cabinets, which provide storage as well as style. Frosted-glass doors on the cabinets can add contrast to the woodwork and hide clutter, while soft lighting surrounding the mirror can create a flattering glow.
There is a host of traditional and non-traditional ways to enhance the vanity area and include extra storage. Using furniture-style cabinets, floor-to-ceiling cabinets, double vanities with arched surround built-ins and other elements can greatly enhance your newly-remodeled space and allow your personal style to come through.

Trish, what do you mean by "furniture-style" cabinets? Do you mean like kitchen cabinets? Do you have a link to some pictures? Thanks!

Hi Margie:
My experience furniture style are generally items with feet or legs or free standing.
Here is a link to a armoire style kitchen cabinet system that would be a good example

Thank you so much--that is very helpful.
I saw on a home decorating show once that when you lift furniture off the ground, it gives the impression that the room is larger. So this is a great idea! :)
