Senator Mark Warner, Congressman Gerry Connolly, and former Democratic National Committee Chair, Terry McAuliffe, visited Greenspring on Monday, November 7, along with local and state candidates seeking re-election including State Senator George Barker, State Delegate Vivian Watts, Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Sharon Bulova, and Lee District Supervisor Jeff McKay. At-Large Fairfax County School Board candidate Ryan McElveen, democratic-endorsed first-time candidate, also visited the community during the event.
Since 2003, Greenspring has been its own voting precinct and has historically had the highest voter turnout in the state of Virginia.
Greenspring, one of 16 Erickson Living full-service retirement communities, is situated on a scenic 108-acre campus in Springfield, Virginia. The community is home to 2000 residents, many of which reside in the 1405 independent living units. Additional information about Greenspring can be found at www.ericksonliving.com.
