The Pohick Valley Stream Trail is an important connector between Burke VRE and Rolling Road VRE stations enabling residents to swiftly travel to either station without traversing tough roads (for example Burke Road, Burke Center Parkway) and medium grades swiftly and through park land.
This section of the trail - Liberty Bell - connects Burke Lake Road via Pohick Valley Stream to Burke Road, past the "L" turn where Burke Road widens and a sidewalk is available.
Public support for this project is important and demonstrates community interest in walking and cycling as a transportation option in our area.
