LEGO League, Time to Prepare for Peak Hurricane Season

Five things you need to know in Burke today.

Happy Tuesday, Burke. Here's a quick roundup of five things to help you navigate your day.

  1. There's only three weeks left until Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) return for the first day of school.

  3. Remember that LEGO League we told you about in the Week Ahead? It's today at the  Burke Centre Library at 2 p.m.
  4. In case you missed it, Rolling Valley West Park in Burke will soon be one of nine Fairfax County parks to have a food truck as part of the Fairfax County Park Authority's pilot program.
  5. Are you prepared? Peak Hurricane Season is expected to start on Thursday, Aug. 15. If you don't already have all of your hurricane supplies, now might be a good time to prepare.
