Fairfax Master Bike Plan Unveiling June 6

The Fairfax Countywide Bicycle Transportation Master Plan is being unveiled on Wednesday, June 6, at George Mason Regional Library.

The Fairfax Countywide Bicycle Transportation Master Plan is being presented for our review after almost a year of research, study, and public meetings throughout the county. Our final public comment meeting on the compiled plan is on Wednesday, June 6, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at George Mason Regional Library, 7001 Little River Turnpike, in Annandale. A meeting in Reston will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., at Reston Regional Library.

The purpose of these final public meetings is for people to review and comment on the draft plan. You will be able to review the recommended on and off road improvements, as well as programmatic and policy ideas.

FABB (Fairfax Advocates for Better Bicycling) and I are asking you to spread the word so that all possible can see the work accomplished and provide feedback on the plan. Come see what county staff, Toole Design and our many hours of comments have produced!

Please feel free to pass the announcement on to your neighbors and friends, we want to have as big of turn out as possible to demonstrate citizen support for systematic implementation of the plan.
