Join Us! New Park Trail Opens Saturday at 10 a.m.

Please join us! Those of you who wish to join the bicycle ride to the ceremony should meet at the Burke VRE Station bus turnaround Saturday at 9:30 a.m. ready to ride.

The first section of the new Pohick Stream Valley Trail connecting Burke VRE Station and Burke Lake Road will be dedicated this Saturday at 10 a.m. at the new bridge reached from the Burke Village Center II parking lot. This trail is a beautiful ride! I cheated and rode with my family to check it out. Its exciting to have a new major trail providing walkers and bicyclists a new park experience connecting Burke neighborhoods.

Please join us! FABB representatives are pleased to support this accomplisment. Those of you who wish to join the bicycle ride to the ceremony should meet at the Burke VRE Station bus turnaround at 9:30 a.m. this Saturday ready to ride. There is a fair weather concrete crossing on the trail that may have some water to ride through. Its an easy crossing, my wife took it with no hesitation. The riders will ride as a convoy to the short dedication and anticipate arriving at 10 a.m.

This trail connects Burke VRE Station to neighborhoods paralleling the VRE tracks towards Burke Road along Pohick Stream Valley Park. One branch ends at Coffer Woods Road, close to Burke Road and the other at the parking lot for Burke Village Center II at 9570 Burke Rd, Burke, VA 22015
