ROBINSON CREW BOOSTERS THANK THE COMMUNITY FOR TAG DAY SUPPORT

Robinson Crew Boosters would like to thank the community for its support of the team’s annual tag day. On Saturday and Sunday, Jan 12th and Jan 13th, rowers collected more
than $20,000 in donations in the neighborhoods surrounding Robinson Secondary School.

“We believe this is the highest record for tag day donations in Robinson Crew history,” said Robinson Crew Booster Club President, JoAnn LaBrecque. “We are deeply appreciative of the generous contributions from the
community in helping us provide a program of excellence for our student-athletes.”

While crew is a varsity sport at Robinson Secondary School, it receives no financial assistance from the Fairfax
County Public School System, Fairfax County, or the State of Virginia. Robinson rowers and parents volunteer thousands of hours each year so that student-athletes can participate in this exciting activity which builds not
only strong bodies, but also teamwork and mental discipline. The program costs approximately $1,900 per rower to cover the equipment, coaches’ salaries and
other necessary items needed for a successful season.
