A memorial has been created near the Burke Centre VRE station in memory of the man who died of an overdose Tuesday.

The man, who's name has not yet been released, was found in a creekbed by police near the Burke Centre VRE Station, located at 10399 Premier Ct., after he reportedly ingested a foreign substance. The man was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

As shown in the photo above sent in to Patch on Wednesday, flowers and lit candles were left on the bridge near the VRE not far from the creek where the man was found.

Police still have not released the identity of the man or further details about the incident. However, a public information officer told Patch on Tuesday that police are investigating the incident as an overdose.
