When: Friday, Sept. 23rd. All games start at 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: Get ready to cheer for your local high school varsity football team this Friday night as they play on their home field.
Price: Admission varies. Contact your local school for details.

Where: Mason District Park, 6621 Columbia Pike, Annandale
When: Saturday, Sept. 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Why Go: There is sure to be something for everyone at this year’s Mason District Park Festival. Enjoy live entertainment, hayrides, pony rides, crafts, and more.
Price: Admission is FREE. Tickets may be purchased for individual rides.

Where: George Mason University Center for the Arts, 4373 Mason Pond Dr., Fairfax
When: Saturday, Sept. 24th at 8:00 p.m.
Why Go: Renowned musicians Michael Feinstein and Marvin Hamlisch team up to take you on a journey through the “Great American Songbook”. With popular selections ranging from Broadway to Hollywood, you’ll enjoy an evening of favorites both old and new.
Price: Tickets start at $40.

Where: George Mason Regional Library, 7001 Little River Tpke., Annandale; Burke Centre Library, 5935 Freds Oak Rd., Burke
When: GMRL’s sale starts on Thursday, Sept. 22nd and continues through Sunday, Sept. 25th. BCL’s sale begins on Thursday, Sept. 22nd and goes through Saturday, Sept. 24th. Hours vary by date and location; please click on the provided links for more information.
Why Go: Find books for all ages, as well as CDs, videos, audio books, and more at bargain prices. The book sales are sponsored by the Friends of the George Mason Regional Library and the Friends of the Burke Centre Library, respectively.
Price: Prices vary, but many books range from .50 to $2.

Where: Burke Lake Park, 7315 Ox Rd., Fairfax Station
When: Saturday, Sept. 24th from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Why Go: Golfers will compete in an 18-hole individual stroke tournament. Come to play or come as a spectator! If you wish to participate, please click on the provided link for registration details.
Price: Registration fee is $30, which includes lunch.

Where: George Mason University’s Potomac Arts Academy, 4260 Chain Bridge Rd., Fairfax
When: Sunday, Sept. 25th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Why Go: Kids ranging in age from 16 months to 7 years are invited to explore different types of artistic expression, including musical instrument playing, art exploration, and drama. Free class demonstrations will be going on throughout the facility.
