Whiz Kids: Six Burke-Area Students Make All-State Choir

These students gained spots in the highly competitive All-State Chorus.

Whiz Kid Names: Seamus Anderson, Allison Kraft, Lauren Lee, Taylor Morgan, and James Vercouteren, all from Lake Braddock Secondary School and Haley Warmuth, from Robinson Secondary School.

Whiz Kid Accomplishments: These six Burke-area high school students have been named to the Virginia All-State Chorus for 2011.

Whiz Kid Key to Awesomeness: Sixty-eight FCPS students were named to the chorus. The All-State chorus members will perform as a group on April 30 at the Visual and Performing Arts Academy at Salem High School in Virginia Beach. Forty-two FCPS students were named as alternates to the All-State Chorus, including Robinson's Lauren Falkenstein and Amy Jones. This is a highly competitive process so congratulations to all of them!
