36th Annual Burke Centre Festival 2013: Entertainment Schedule

Here's a rundown of the bands and performances at this year's festival.

Thousands of Burke and Northern Virginia residents will attend this year's Burke Centre Festival. Check out the full entertainment schedule below and learn a little about each of the performers.

Music and Performances on Saturday, Sept. 7

10 a.m.: Flag Raising Ceremony at the Flag Pole
10:30 a.m.: Nen Daiko's Taiko Drummers - The group has performed in the Washington, DC metro area since 1994, including most recently at the 2013 National Cherry Blossom Festival.
11:30 a.m.: Milkshake Duo - Band members and real life couple Lisa and Mikel will perform several kid-friendly songs for all to enjoy.
12 p.m.: Magical Puppet Theater
1 p.m.: Japanese Dance
1:30 p.m.: Magical Puppet Theater
2 p.m.: Spectra Band
3 p.m.: Last Known Soul
3 p.m.: Magical Puppet Theater
4 p.m.: Tin City Band - The Northern Virginia five-piece band will bring their rock and blues sound to the Burke Centre festival.

Music and Performances on Sunday, Sept. 8

11 a.m.: Robinson Dance Team and Dance Xone
11 a.m.-2 p.m.: Roving Hypnotic Experience
12:30 p.m.: Rocknoceros - Pronounced like rhinoceros, the Northern Virginia trio Rocknoceros will perform several songs for both kids and adults to enjoy on Sunday.
12:30 p.m.: Magical Puppet Theater
1:30 p.m.: Senior Center Without Walls
1:30 p.m.: Magical Puppet Theater
2 p.m.: Gary Smallwood - Musician Gary Smallwood will bring his classic rock sound to the Burke Centre Festival stage on Sunday.
3 p.m.: Barbara Sheppard's Dance Academy
3 p.m.: Magical Puppet Theater
3:30 p.m.: The Thistle and Pipers - The group will perform several traditional Highland dances and music of Scotland on Sunday.
4 p.m.: Amber Waves (bluegrass/folk)

Wine Garden Stage on Saturday, Sept. 7
5 p.m.: Suburban Hearts - The acoustic/singer-songwriter duo will entertain wine tent attendees on Saturday night.
6 p.m.: The Little Zippers - The duo will perform several blues, jazz, rock and reggage influenced songs to the stage.
7 p.m.: Delaney & Saenz 
8 p.m.: The Hypnotic Experience

Other Activities on Saturday, Sept. 7 and Sunday, Sept. 8
11 a.m.-3 p.m.: Hidden Pond Nature Center (interactive wildlife show)
11 a.m.-5 p.m.: Face Painting (3 booths)
12-4 p.m.: Roving Characters Spongebob, Elmo, Angry Birds
