The Native American/Indigenous Alliance at George Mason University honor American veterans and celebrate Native American culture at the 9th Annual Veterans' Powwow. The powwow is a central social event in indigenous culture, combining dance and music. Open to ALL. Admission is FREE. A large selection of traditional art and crafts will be available for purchase. Arena Director: Manuel Rodriquez (Comanche & Cheyenne). Head Dancers: Mary Phillips (Laguna Pueblo & Omaha) & Jason Warwick (Lumbee & Eastern Cherokee). Head Junior Dancers: Alexander Firewalker (Cherokee) & Alexis Hill (Seneca & Ojibwa).
