Lake Braddock Alumni Host Benefit Concert

Proceeds from the July 25 concert will be donated to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Lake Braddock Musical Theater alumni and friends will present a benefit concert of popular Broadway show tunes at the Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia, 8900 Little River Tpke., on July 25, at 7:30 p.m.  All proceeds will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Tickets are available at the door for $10 each or $25 per family. 

The event was conceived by Burke residents Andrea Harmon and Courtney Bradshaw, both veterans of musical theater  program. They are current students at James Madison University.

"The girls decided to combine their love of music and theater with an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for an especially worthy cause," said Liz Piraino, who is helping organize the event. "They contacted their friends from Lake Braddock, who are generously donating their time and talent."

Musical selections will include numbers from some of Broadway’s most notable musicals, including Les Misérables, Guys and Dolls, Annie and more.

The event is dedicated to the memory of Courtney’s dad, Steven Bradshaw, and Andrea’s Uncle, Wayne Cogan, each of whom recently passed away after battles with cancer.
