The Little Theatre of Alexandria presents A Christmas Carol

  • Why Go: Don’t miss the classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and his ghostly visitors on Christmas Eve.

Colonial English Handbell Ringers: 12 Ringers Ringing Peace & Harmony

  • Where: The Lyceum, Alexandria
  • When: Sunday, Dec. 16 at 2 and 4 p.m.
  • Price: FREE – Reservations Required
  • Why Go: Featuring a sing-a-long, classic carols, original arrangements and more. 

 

Ladies Tea

  • Where: Gadsby’s Tavern Museum, Alexandria
  • When: Sunday, Dec. 16 at 3 p.m.
  • Why Go: Step back into the 18th century with period-inspired delicacies and the museum’s special blend of tea.

Leahy: A Leahy Family Christmas

  • Where: GMU Center for the Arts, Fairfax
  • When: Sunday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m.
  • Why Go: The popular musicians and dancers will perform Celtic melodies, classic holiday tunes and original compositions.  Don’t miss a pre-performance discussion with the president of the DC Bluegrass Union 45 minutes prior to the show.

  • Sunday Morning Bird Walk at Dyke Marsh, Alexandria.  Sunday, Dec. 16 at 8 a.m.  FREE.
  • Dinosaur Film, Puppet and Craft Festival at Hidden Oaks Nature Center, Annandale.  Sunday, Dec. 16 at 2:30 p.m.  For ages 3-9.  $7 - $9 per person – Registration Required.
  • Fall Guided Hike at Mason Neck State Park, Lorton.  Sunday, Dec. 16 at 3 p.m.  Weekend parking fee is $4 per vehicle.
