Father's Day 2013: Where to Find Gifts for Dad in Burke

Massage sticks, which help relieve muscle pain and soreness and improve muscle strength, are an ideal gift for runners. Potomac River Running has a few different type available and the massage sticks cost anywhere between $25-$40.

According to store employees, technical socks are another big purchase many runners don't realize can make a big difference since the right kind of sock can protect your feet. Whether your dad's looking for a comfort or a way to improve the performance on his shoe, Potomac River Running's got a few options to choose him. Technical socks at the store can cost as much as $16. The store also carries a lot of apparel, nutritionals and other running accessories.

Located in the same shopping center as Potomac River Running, the Music and Arts store at 5735 Burke Centre Pkwy currently has a sale on guitars and guitar accessories such as picks and strings. The guitars on sale cost between $200-$250 at the lowest and the strings are priced around $5. Ukuleles are also currently on sale. The store also sells brass and woodwind instruments, keyboards, drums and more.

If your dad enjoys music or plays an instrument, you can also consider buying him some lessons. The store recruits local teachers from Burke-area schools and colleges to teach customers how to play the instrument of their dreams. Additionally, the Music & Arts sells instructional manuals that can teach your dad how to play music on a variety of instruments.

Burke Cigar, located at 9558 Old Keene Mill Rd, offers gift sets starting as low as $25 for Father's Day. Owner Shami Walia said customers can mix and match the cigars, choosing from the thousands of cigars available in store, and include accessories such as lighters, cutters and more in the gift set. The cost of a single cigar can range from $6-$11.
