How Many Businesses Closed in Burke? 2013 Year in Review

Not every Burke business will be around to ring in the new year. Here's a look back at the ones that have closed.

2013 was a busy year for Fairfax County, but also for the Burke community. In addition to the usual school and police news, there were also some changes with a few longtime Burke businesses.

While many new businesses opened, a handful of places shut their doors for good.

Here's a look back at some of the business that closed this year, as reported by Burke Patch.

San Vito Restaurant

Closed: Feb. 19

After nearly eight years in Burke, San Vito Ristorante Italiano has closed.

A financial dispute between restaurant owner John Sayre and the shopping center was reportedly part of the reason for the closure.

Caribou Coffee
