Are Burke-Area Post Offices Open on July 4th?

United States Postal Service (USPS) will adjust the hours of operation for several Northern Virginia post office locations in observance of Independence Day.

The Fourth of July falls on a Thursday this year and residents won’t be the only ones adjusting their schedules to for Independence Day and the day after the holiday.

Several United States Postal Service (USPS) locations in Northern Virginia, including in the Burke and West Springfield areas, will close early on Friday, July 5, according to a news release.

All post office retail locations will be closed on July 4 and mail will not be collected that day.

On July 5, the post offices on 9501 Burke Road in Burke and at 6200 Rolling Road in Springfield will close at 2 p.m. Mail will also be collected in the morning and afternoon at those locations.
