Public Meeting on 'Enclave of Burke' Redevelopment Set for Tuesday

Developer Madison Homes, Inc wants to build 15 single-family homes on a plot of land on Spring Lake Drive in Burke.

Madison Homes, Inc is proposing to build 15 single-family homes on Spring Lake Drive in Burke.

The homes would be built on 5.28 acres of land. The property is currently zoned R-1 for up to one dwelling unit per acre. The application seeks to rezone the property R-3 to allow for up to three dwelling units per acre.

Burke residents looking to voice their opinion on the application will have an opportunity to share their concerns at a community meeting Tuesday night in Springfield.

The meeting, which is hosted by Springfield Supervisor Pat Herrity, is at 7 p.m. at the West Springfield Government Center,  located at 6140 Rolling Rd., in Springfield.

Previously, a community meeting informing residents about the application was held in May.
