5. Wreath-laying Ceremony
Where/When: Arlington National Cemetery, Monday, May 30 at 11 a.m.
Why Go: Witness the wreath-laying ceremony and concert at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in honor of Memorial Day. While at Arlington notice the American flags placed before over 260,000 gravestones. This tradition is known as “Flags-in”, since 1948 the members of the 3rd U.S. Infantry have honored America’s fallen heroes by placing a small American flag at their graves.
