Your Guide to Local Fourth of July Firework Displays

Find out where the nearby fireworks displays are!

Though there aren't any fireworks displays planned specifically in Burke this year, here are some of the nearby celebrations! Have a Happy Fourth of July!

Fireworks at Fairfax High School

Location:  3501 Rebel Run, Fairfax; on football field

Time: July 4, 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Schedule: City of Fairfax Band at 7 p.m. Welcome remarks and presentation of awards by Mayor at 8 p.m. Leggz rock band at 8:20 p.m. City of Fairfax Band, playing the “1812 Overture” at 9:10 p.m. Fireworks Display at 9:20 p.m. Leggz Finale: Neil Diamond and Elvis Tribute Show from 9:50-10:30 p.m.

Guidelines: Lawn chairs, smoking, alcohol and animals (except for guide dogs) are not permitted on the football field. Items that may puncture the synthetic turf field are not permitted.

Location:  1400 Lake Fairfax Dr., Reston

Time: July 4, Fireworks begin around 9:15 p.m.

Schedule: Park grounds open at 7 a.m. Water Mine Family Swimmin’ Hole open from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Pony rides and petting zoo open from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Moon bounces open from 1 – 5 p.m. Field day event with family games from 5 – 6 p.m. near picnic area. Carousel and marina open from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Puppet show from 6 – 8 p.m. near carousel. Campgrounds available for overnight stays.

Guidelines: Pets must be on leashes. Smoking is not permitted 50 feet within the entrance of any building nor in the Water Mine Family Swimmin’ Hole.

Turner Farm Park

Location: 925 Springvale Rd., Great Falls

Time: Fireworks begin at dusk, around 9:15 p.m.

Schedule: Celebration begins at 6 p.m. Food vendors and children’s rides including a slide, dunk tank and rock climbing wall will be available.

Guidelines:  No animals or alcoholic beverages permitted.
