In-Person and By-Mail Absentee Voting Begins Friday

Find out when, where and how eligible voters can vote by absentee for the upcoming Nov. 5 election.

Burke residents can begin absentee voting for the upcoming Nov. 5 election beginning this Friday, Sept. 20.

In-person absentee voting is available at the Fairfax County Government Center, Office of Elections, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Suite 323, in Fairfax, as well as at seven satellite locations throughout the county. 

Voting hours at the Government Center are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Beginning Oct. 15, the hours will be 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. every weekday.

Saturday voting will be available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Sept. 28 to Nov. 2.

By-mail absentee ballots will be sent out to residents who have applied beginning this Friday, Sept. 20. For your vote to be included, it must be received by the elections office by 7 p.m. on election day, Nov. 5.

Sept. 28, Oct. 5, Oct. 12, Oct. 19, Oct. 26, Nov. 2

Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Monday - Friday: Oct. 15 - Nov. 1

The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 5 election is Oct. 15 at 5 p.m. The last day to apply to vote absentee is Oct. 29 at 5 p.m.
