The Easter Garden is a Lenten event for children, grades PK-5th. Enter the Easter Garden, a way of centering our thoughts on Holy Week. This Lenten study will move children through Holy Week from Palm Sunday through the Resurrection. The “garden” is our central symbol because this is a place of transition from the joy of Palm Sunday and the sharing of food together to the arrest, trial and crucifixion of Jesus. It is Jesus’ time spent praying in the garden that moves us from one event to the next.

This program is an experience for the whole congregation! Children will create a garden setting for the meal, filled with symbolic meaning, banner symbols for a small worship service, and table decorations for the congregational meal.

The cost is free and registration is open until Monday, 4/14 at 4pm.

The event for Children and Families is from 1pm-5pm and doors will be opening to the congregation and community from 5:30-7pm for a shared dinner. Hope you can join us!  For more info, contact Erin Mucha, Children's Minister,  at 703-451-8223.
