Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy

SPIRIT OPEN EQUESTRIAN
is hosting a demonstration of EAP on Thursday, October 3, 7 p.m., at Frying
Pan Park, 2709 West Ox Road, Herndon, VA
(in the warm-up ring to the right of the indoor arena). Our
presenter is Elizabeth Porter Moran, LCSW, and EGALA Certified Mental Health
Specialist.

As you observe the
collaborative approach between the horses, the mental health specialist, and
the horse specialist, you will gain a better understanding about EAP and how
and why it works. In addition, if you elect to participate in the
demonstration, you will gain insight from the client's perspective and
experience how different exercises may provoke questions within the client and how
this method may create growth opportunities.
