Burke Toastmasters Meeting

The Burke Toastmasters will meet at The Oaks Community Center located at 5708 Oak Leather Dr, in Burke Centre,  Thursday, July 18, beginning promptly at 7:30pm.

Burke Toastmasters provide a supportive and constructive atmosphere where  everyone can improve their public speaking and leadership skills.

Members hail from all age groups, walks of life and backgrounds ranging from retirees to recent college graduates. Members’ work life experiences include those of  a veteran, a restaurateur, a realtor, a photographer, an engineer, a public health specialist, and an IT professional, just to name few.

At each meeting members come together to improve their speech skills and become more confident and effective communicators,  something so valuable  not only in today’s work place but also in social situations.

Club speakers vary in experience and skill levels. You can learn from the best but at the same time share your new speaking triumphs or challenges with other members who, like you, may just be getting started.  No matter how experienced or how skilled, every member is striving to improve and to learn from and support  their fellow Toastmasters.
