A Corporation Invests in Fairfax CASA

Fairfax Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) presented its 2012 Corporate Champion Award to a corporation with a longstanding commitment to improving the lives of abused and neglected children. For the past eight years, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) has helped our program achieve its mission by providing financial support, equipment and specialized pro bono services. 

In this video, CSC’s Chief Diversity Officer and Fairfax CASA Board member, José Jimenez, explains to CSC employees why their corporation has made a significant investment in Fairfax CASA. His interview includes a call to action to employees to get involved and make a direct impact on the welfare of children in our community by becoming CASA volunteers.

We are very fortunate to have CSC -- and many other local businesses -- encouraging volunteerism among their employees, and supporting Fairfax CASA in ways large and small.  Financial contributions from these community partners enable Fairfax CASA to continue its mission, despite the trend toward reduced government funding for human services charities.  We value our corporate partnerships, and continue to seek new allies from the business community.
