Calling All Volunteers for CASA's Run/Walk

GIve one day to help improve the lives of abused and neglected children. Join Fairfax CASA on April 28 for the Run for the Children 10K Race and 3K Run/Walk.

Every month, we hear from people who want to improve the lives of abused and neglected children and wonder how best to help.

Many become and make a difference by helping protect the rights of a child living under the court’s protection. It takes time and a long-term commitment to serve as a CASA volunteer – something those of us raising families or working busy jobs may not be able to do.

Fortunately, there is a way to help – and it only takes one day. Join the team of amazing volunteers who will make the Fairfax CASA’s Run for the Children10K run and 3K Run/Walk an all-out success.

This year’s run takes place on Saturday, April 28, in Fairfax City. We seek friendly, energetic volunteers to lend a helping hand by:

  • Assisting with pre-race activities
  • Serving as race marshals
  • Directing participants to parking areas
  • Staffing race set up or clean up

All race day volunteers receive a free Run for the Children t-shirt and the satisfaction of supporting a cause that helps protect our most vulnerable children.

The funds raised will support Fairfax CASA and the work of CASA volunteers who
advocate for the best interests of over 500 abused and neglected children each
year.

To volunteer, contact Christina Halstead at chalstead@casafairfax.org or telephone (703) 273-3526, ext. 15.
