Unpacking Hope

This moving video shows why abused and neglected children from Hispanic/Latino families need advocates who speak their native language and understand their culture.

Take a look at one of Fairfax CASA's favorite videos,Unpacking Hope, from the National CASA association.  This short, moving video, highlights the need for bilingual volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children from Hispanic/Latino families.

In Fairfax County, there are not enough Spanish speaking CASA volunteers to help ensure that children from Hispanic/Latino families receive the same care and attention as other child victims of abuse.

If you are fluent in Spanish and English, your skills can help to protect the fundamental rights of a vulnerable child. Help Fairfax CASA close the language gap and make sure our Hispanic/Latino children grow up in safe, permanent homes. To learn more, attend Fairfax CASA’s or visit the Fairfax CASA website.
