Will You Run for a Child?

Lace up your running shoes for Fairfax CASA's Run for the Children on April 28.

Spring is just around the corner, which means it’s time to lace up your running shoes and get ready for

If you participated last year, you know what a good feeling it was to be a part of our event.  The race course wound through the neghborhoods surrounding the Fairfax County courthouse, where residents came out to cheer the runners along.  The food, including Hard Times Cafe chili and nutritious snacks from Jason's Deli, received rave reviews. Afterwards, participants and families relaxed on the lawn and enjoyed the tunes from Sound Wave Entertainment.

The run supports the work of CASA volunteers as they advocate for nearly 500 abused and neglected kids in Fairfax County each year. Last year’s Run for the Children raised enough money for us to serve an additional 28 children!

Right now there are another 28 children waiting for a CASA volunteer to stand by them and protect their right to a safe and happy future. Help us provide a volunteer for each of these young people by participating in this year’s race.

Sign up today and invite your friends to experience a special morning in Fairfax City at www.fairfaxrunforthechildren.com. If you would like to support the race as a volunteer, there is much to be done—contact Christina Halstead at chalstead@casafairfax.org to join the team!
