The Learning Never Stops

The learning never stops for CASA volunteers. In addition to the many hours that Fairfax CASA's volunteers spend in service to the children on their cases, every volunteer must complete 12 credit hours of Continuing Education each year. The requirement is mandated by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services and by the National CASA Association.

Fairfax CASA hosts a robust Continuing Education program with several monthly opportunities for volunteers to come together and share their experiences. Gatherings run the gamut from lectures and roundtable discussions, to book clubs and movie nights. The Continuing Education program is considered one of the most popular benefits of becoming a Fairfax CASA volunteer.

This short video offers a glimpse into a typical Fairfax CASA roundtable discussion, where volunteers come together to discuss one particular topic related to their work as child advocates.
