Burke Cub Scouts Raising Money to Send Popcorn to Military Troops
Pack 1344 is asking residents to help them raise $3,300 for the project.
A local Cub Scout troop is raising money to send packages of popcorn to troops overseas.
Pack 1344, which is based in Burke, is currently attempting to raise $3,300 to "to provide gourmet popcorn to the hardworking members of our military" for the holiday season, according to their GoFundMe page.
GoFundMe is an online fundraising tool similar to Kickstarter, but fundraising efforts are usually for personal causes, volunteer programs, medical expenses, education costs, youth groups and more.
