We’re open Saturday, Nov. 30!

We’ll be concentrating on leftovers this week with great recipes for traditional Thanksgiving Day foods. You will need additional ingredients to flesh out some of those recipes and something new to help you get over the turkey surfeit.

Crazy Farm is still picking down in the warmer temps of the Northern Neck and will bring lots of fall and winter vegetables like greens, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, and other cruciferous vegetables. We will have potatoes, sweet potatoes, beets, turnips, and a variety of winter squashes, and most will be available until we close in late December. Tysons will have apples piled high and some of their own winter veggies, including the best collards around.

Valley View Bakery will begin to show you what they can do for your holiday parties and dinners — they make fabulous little pastries, mini-cakes, and tarts. They will bring some cakes to sample, too. Start spreading the news! We’ve got great holiday food at the market.

Delicias del Sur will offer mini-empanada platters. Preorder anytime for your holiday entertaining and for holiday gifts for man and beast alike. We have delicious jams, jellies, and pet treats for your favorite dogs.

Uncle Fred should be with us to get you through the weekend with your favorite smoked meats. There’s bound to be some football game we can watch without crying this Sunday.

Jacob Horst as always will have meats galore — chicken, beef, pork, lamb, and veal — and Trickling Springs dairy products to fill your every need and desire. Try that ice cream if you haven’t already.

Stop by on your way to wherever you plan to shop till you drop. Your food will keep in your car in these temperatures for several hours.

See you at the market!
