Meet Angel & Her Six Adorable Pups!

Angel is a gentle one-year-old English/American bulldog. She and her six adorable pups had a tough start in life at the hands of a cruel owner, but they still love and trust people unconditionally.

Hello. My name is Angel. I’m a super sweet, one-year old English/American Bulldog mix, and weigh about 60 pounds.

I was turned into a local shelter with my six puppies. I was on death row, but Mutts Matter rescued all of us, and we are now safe and in a loving foster home. Things are looking up in my world.

I may be a mom, but I still have some puppy energy in me, and love to play. I play tug, chew on my stuffed toys, and am always up for a game of fetch or to run around in the back yard with my foster pup siblings.

I get along great with other dogs, and will gladly share my toys with them. I’m very gentle with kids, and show affection to everyone I meet. I greet all the guests that visit our home with a tail wag and kisses. I really love people, and my favorite thing to do is to cuddle with my foster mom and lay on her lap while she watches TV.

I’m a smart pup and learn quickly. I’m already potty-trained, walk well on a leash, know how to sit and wait patiently for my food, and will even give you my paw when asked. I can get a little feisty when I play, so I need an assertive owner who knows how to direct me. I respond well to commands, and need someone who will handle me gently, but firmly.

Other than being a little thin, I’m in good health. I didn’t have an easy start in life, but I still love and trust people unconditionally. My past “owner” neglected me and mistreated my puppies. He thought it would be okay to try to crop all of their ears with a pair of scissors, and I was helpless to protect them. He is being prosecuted for animal cruelty, and will hopefully get what he deserves. I’m so grateful to be in a better place now, and thankful that my puppies are all healthy, and will have a better life.

Basically, I’m a love bug. If you adopt me and give me the life I deserve, I will be your faithful and loyal companion. My puppies are not quite old enough to be adopted yet, but are getting very close. They can be adopted to a home when they are eight weeks old.

Meet my pups!

ANNIE – Annie is the runt of the litter, but that doesn’t slow her down. My foster mom says, “Her favorite pastime is sneaking up on siblings and pouncing on them to play.” She has been examined by a vet, and her cut ears will be fine now that the infection is clearing up.

JANE – Jane is adorable, curious, and “the feisty one” of the litter. She has been examined by a vet, and her cut ears will be fine now that the infection is clearing up.

JESSIE JAMES – Jessie is the “quiet observer” and the most laid-back of the group. He has been examined by a vet, and his ears will be fine now that the infection is clearing up.

PEARL – Pearl likes to put her two cents into everything, and likes to direct; she’s a born leader. She will always have one ear that is shorter than the other, but is perfectly healthy in every way.

STARR – Starr is the one who likes to be right in the mix of things, and is very social with her siblings. She too will always have one ear that is shorter than the other, but is perfect in every other way.

WILD BILL – My foster moms says that Wild Bill is “all bark and no bite.” He will also always have one ear that is shorter than the other, but is perfect in every other way.
