Meet Fortune - Big Girl With A Big Heart

Fortune is a sweet, good-natured Mastiff looking for a permanent family to call her own. She's a gentle soul and needs a family who will nurture her and give her the life she deserves.

Hello! My name is Fortune and that's what my new life is going to be: fortune-filled with lots of love, and a great family to share it with.

I'm a super sweet, regal Mastiff - some would say I’m gorgeous - but I'm humble. I'm about four years old and over 100 pounds. I may be a big girl, but I’m gentle as a lamb and don't have a mean or aggressive bone in my body.

I didn't have the easiest start in life, spending my first few years living outside in a cage and being used by a backyard breeder who didn't treat me well. Mutts Matter rescued me from that horrible place, and my owner was prosecuted for animal cruelty. I’m getting my second chance to have a great life, and things are looking up for me now!

I’m doing great in my foster home, and was lucky to find a wonderful foster family who has taken such good care of me. I love them and my two pup siblings, and have thrived being part of a family. I’m so gentle with other dogs that I even let my tiny Min-Pin brother sneak food out of my food bowl when I’m eating. I don't mind; we’re all one pack now and I know how to share.

Basically, I’m a laid-back, good-natured pup who even likes cats. I rarely bark, am 100% potty-trained, walk great on a leash, will come when you call me, and love to go on car rides… especially if it means a trip to the dog park! I love to meet new people and dogs, and that’s why the dog park is my favorite place to go.

Watch me play at the dog park!

All in all, I’m a simple girl who appreciates the basic pleasures in life. I love to go on long walks and run and play outside. I’m a silly pup too - when my foster mom lets me run free in the park, I like to roll down the grass hill on my back, pumping my legs in the air and enjoying the pure pleasure in the freedom of the outdoors.

Mutts Matter thinks I would do best in a home with another dog and a fenced yard so that I can run and play freely. What I need most is a caring and patient family who will give me some time to settle in and trust my new surroundings, and who will make me a special part of their lives.

Do you have room in your heart and home for me? If you are looking for a very deserving and sweet-natured pup….I'm your girl.
