Armed Woman Robs Burke Gas Station

The Stafford woman was charged with robbery after she used a handgun to rob a Burke Shell gas station.

A Northern Virginia woman robbed a Burke gas station Wednesday.

According to a news release from the Fairfax County Police Department, 18-year-old Chelsee D. Wright of Stafford walked into the Shell gas station at 6054 Burke Commons Road and, while brandishing a handgun, demanded an employee give her cash.

The gas station employee complied and Wright fled after receiving the cash. Wright was later found by a police officer near Burke Centre Parkway and Pond Spice Lane, the release states.

Wright was then taken into custody and charged with robbery and with the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
