Crime Report: Man Charged with DWI in Burke

The following items are from the recent daily activity reports from the West Springfield, Franconia, and Fair Oaks Police District Stations of the Fairfax County Police Department, which includes parts of Burke.

West Springfield District Station
 
Driving while intoxicated

A 25-year-old Fairfax Station man was charged with driving while intoxicated and obstruction of justice.
 
Fairfax County police were called to a report of a driver slumped over the steering wheel at 7:40 p.m. on July 5 on the intersection of Covered Bridge Road and Lee Chapel Road in Burke. Police said that the driver, Jared Jones, refused commands by police. He was arrested and charged.
 
Assault
A 21-year-old man was charged with stabbing a woman, according to police.
 
Officers were called at 5:45 p.m. on July 7 on the 8100 block of American Holly Road in Lorton. Police said that a 54-year-old woman had multiple cuts and was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
 
Jae Yoo, of Lorton, was charged with malicious wounding.
 
Robbery
Two teenagers brandished a knife at a 13-year-old girl and demanded cash, police said.
 
The incident took place at 12:20 p.m. on July 9 on the intersection of Allman Drive and McWhorter Place in Annandale. The girl was walking when the teenagers approached her. When the girl handed them cash, the teens fled. She was not injured in the incident.

Fair Oaks District Station
 
Burglary
An iPod was reported stolen from a home at about 5:20 p.m. on July 4 from the 13600 block of Legacy Circle in Herndon.
 
Weapon/Impersonation
An 18-year-old carried alcohol into a business and claimed to be a police officer when approached by security.
 
Fairfax Police said that at 11 p.m. on July 7 on the 11900 Palace Way, the man walked into the business with alcohol and a security officer approached him and told him that alcohol was not allowed. The man allegedly brandished a handgun and said he was police. When the security guard challenged him again, the man fled.
 
Hodifa Tunalli, of Fairfax, was charged with brandishing a firearm and impersonating a law enforcement officer.
 
Unlawful Entry
A homeowner was able to detain someone who had unlawfully entered his home, police said.
 
At 2:50 a.m. on July 9 on the 12100 block of Polo Drive in Fairfax, a resident heard a noise in his apartment, investigated, and found a man there. The resident was able to detain him. Juan Giron Guzman, 44, of Fairfax, was charged with unlawful entry.

Peeping
A 23-year-old watching television spotted a man outside her window looking inside at 3:20 p.m. on July 3 on the 6000 block of Stoddard Court in Alexandria, police report.
 
Peeping
A 28-year-old woman watching television saw a man at her window looking inside at 10:55 p.m. on July 5 on the 7500 block of Woodside Lane in Lorton, police report.
 
Trespassing
A real estate inspector was checking on a residence and discovered evidence that someone had entered the home, police report. The incident was reported at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday on the 7200 block of Barry Road in Alexandria.
 
Trespassing
Five boys were charged with trespassing into a school. Police responded to an alarm at Lane Elementary School at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday on the 7100 block of Beulah Street. The boys, ages ranging 12 to 15, were found in and around the school, police said.
