Disorderly Conduct Incident Closes Old Keene Mill Road

The incident Saturday evening drew a large police presence in response to the threat of a gun.

An argument between two adults shut down Old Keene Mill Road near Greeley Boulevard Saturday evening.

Fairfax County police responded to a disorderly conduct situation where a person claimed to have a handgun, said Eddy Azcarate, public information officer with the Fairfax County Police Department.

Azcarate said the initial calls about the argument brought several police cars to the vicinity and police closed lanes on Old Keene Mill Road as a precaution.

“If someone says ‘gun’, we will respond with appropriate force and evaluate the situation once we’re there,” said Azcarate.

In an email to Patch, a resident reported seeing a large amount of police activity and a Metro bus on scene, which was later towed. The resident also said Old Keene Mill was closed from around 9 p.m. until close to 11 p.m. Azcarate did not say whether the Metro bus was connected to the argument that closed Old Keene Mill Road.
